Final Video
I was responsible for creating a screensaver to display on the various video and computer stations throughout the exhibit.
Final Work
The Innovations exhibit had a large section sponsored by Nortel.
This particular screensaver was created by hand frame by frame using Photoshop and Director (before it was part of Adobe’s arsenal). The final screensaver plays the animation as above and then randomly (using Lingo) moves to another part of the screen.
Screensavers are not very big in the news these days. Most people’s computer habits and the screen technologies have made the ‘necessity’ less urgent.
However, there are instances where a screen saver is still good. Exhibits that have interactive or video screens. These screens are on for such long periods that ‘burn in’ is still a concern.
Not only do such screensavers protect the screen they serve to entice visitors over to the display. I like creating them.
